The Client requested that the first impression for people entering the complex was that of a boutique style, high class hotel, with a modern bright appearance. Spurlite worked with the clients interior designers to develop this theme across the reception areas and residents lounge. These areas included meeting rooms, seating booths and TV lounge. The Cadan track spotlight makes up much of the lighting in this space in conjunction with the compact DOT 9100 series downlight and feature enhancement was added by LED tape and extrusion. Visible lighting products were finished in Black to add to the feel of quality in the space.

The Hotel theme carried through into the landlord’s corridors and the Crystal 8W downlight was used to provide a subtle lighting installation with a semi-domestic feel. The small 8W crystal downlight with a simple white bezel was the perfect lighting tool to meet this requirement. Florenzo 22w wall mounted fittings were used for the staircases.

Externally, a low level of illuminance was required across the space to provide safe access whilst not imposing unwanted light into the residences. Wall mounted Semai lanterns provide the illuminance to the main through route and car parking areas with Bollards and Lume circular bulkheads along circulation paths and adjacent to entrances.

Throughout the construction phase of the project Spurlite liaised with the sub-contracted electrical installer McNally and Thompson and the Briggs project team to ensure smooth delivery and address any design changes that occurred, remain flexible and attentive in our approach at all times.
